,dMail*Link Internet for PowerTalk is a personal e-mail gateway between PowerTalk and the Internet or 
*2_other SMTP-based mail systems. It requires a TCP/IP connection to a host that runs Simple Mail 
*2aTransfer Protocol (SMTP) and Post Office Protocol Version 3 (POP3). The TCP/IP connection can be 
*2eon a local network or across a dial-up IP connection using a Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP) or 
*2FPoint-to-Point Protocol (PPP) program, such as InterSLIP
 or MacPPP.
*daMail*Link Internet for PowerTalk uses SMTP to send your outbound mail to the host, which in turn 
*2duses SMTP or other protocols to send the mail on to its destination. Incoming Internet mail is down-
*2`loaded from your e-mail account on a POP3 server. SMTP and a POP3 server can run on the same or 
different hosts.

`inform PowerTalk about the new software. After the Macintosh restarts, log into PowerTalk, open 
*2cyour Key Chain, open the PT/Internet service item and close it again. Then, restart the Macintosh. 
MPORTANT
U Once you have installed a personal gateway such as Mail*Link Internet for PowerTalk 
`in the PowerTalk Key Chain, if you subsequently remove the gateway from the Key Chain, any mail 
*2`in your In Tray that has been downloaded by the gateway will be deleted. We strongly advise you 
*2`to copy the contents of your In Tray to a folder before removing any personal gateways from the 
PowerTalk Key Chain.

Configure the gateway
*j]You must supply valid configuration information about the login name and password you use to 
*2eaccess your POP3 account, the name of the Internet mail server, your full Internet address, and your 
real name. See
